Tell us about The Birthing Class
The Birthing Class is an online platform which will guide you through birth, pregnancy and postpartum. We provide online courses from 3 doulas, a pre- and post-natal 10 month pilates program, advice from nutritionists, OBGYN’s, midwives, psychologists as well as recipes to guide you through each trimester all whilst watching from the comfort of your own home.
Our goal is to boost confidence and empower women to connect with their body’s incredible abilities. We provide the knowledge to trust your instincts and make informed decisions for a healthy birth. While nothing can completely prepare you for what’s ahead, The Birthing Class transforms your mindset and how you view your body.
We’re all about normalizing the conversation around pre- and post-natal experiences. Our platform connects women globally, supporting each other through birth and motherhood. There’s really nothing more powerful than a woman’s body and what it can do.
How did The Birthing Class come to life? What inspired this?
My first pregnancy in 2023 was a whirlwind of emotions! I was so happy that we actually fell pregnant but also completely overwhelmed with uncertainty. There was so much information at my fingertips but it was difficult to decipher what was trustworthy or reliable and what advice aligned with my values. Trying to navigate my way through this time was truly daunting and I was left wondering how so many women figure it all out on their own. This is when I realized the need for an informative platform with all the holistic advice women need in one place. And so, The Birthing Class was born!
How has your Motherhood journey been so far?
Being a mother is such a privilege, I feel so lucky to have our daughter. Of course there have been many lows, motherhood is such a wild ride, but there’s not a day that goes by where I don’t consider myself so fortunate to be a mother.
How do you find balance between work and Motherhood?
I’m still finding it, haha! My husband is so hands on and we’re just a good team. We split the rolls as working parents, he helps me cook, he does housework and he’s the most amazing father to our daughter.
What advice would you give a new Mother?
Trust your instincts, you know best and although you may not always have the answers to absolutely everything, I’m sure you will do what you think is the best outcome for your children and that’s the most we can do.
