A team favourite here at Sacred Bundle is the beautiful Illoura the Label. We have worked with Illoura on many of our photoshoots including these stunning pieces on our last campaign shoot last year.
To introduce you to the brand we spoke with Ash, Founder of Illoura to chat about how Illoura the label came to life and what inspires this stunning brand.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
My name's Ashleigh and I am the owner and creative director at Illoura, currently living in Gippsland, Victoria with my partner Thomas and our 3 beautiful children Myla, Oak and Juni.
How did Illoura come to life?
Illoura was dreamt up after the arrival of my daughter, Myla. While Myla became my muse, the vision of Illoura grew with her. With inspiration to create beautiful and functional keepsakes for my little love and a dream to have flexibility around my work hours to be there for all the big and small moments while my children were young, I decided to take the leap into business shortly after she was born.
My children and motherhood are my continual inspiration and driving force of Illoura today.
How do you balance Motherhood & Illoura?
This is forever evolving and I definitely don’t have it all worked out, I’ve found it incredibly rewarding although equally as challenging to run a business with young children. Over time I’ve learnt to surrender to the fact that I can’t be it all and do it all at once. I’ve learnt to trust my wonderful team and delegate and outsource where needed.
I’m currently focusing on not burning myself out constantly and filling my cup up by having more down time, spending more time with friends and doing the things that bring me joy and letting go of the guilt that comes with balancing business and motherhood.

The biggest change that we have implemented is when Juni was born last year, Thomas and I made the decision to both share the role of being a stay at home parent and continue to grow Illoura together. This has been huge for us in allowing me to continue to spend each day with the kids, while still being able to coordinate meetings and work commitments.
What inspires you?
I often find this question difficult to answer as I wouldn’t say my inspiration is one set thing, instead it’s always shifting and changing and can be incredibly random for what sparks an idea which then catapults a series of ideas. My children however are my constant source of inspiration and watching them live out their lives in front of me always has me dreaming up new ideas that I think they will love and fits in with our purpose of creating beautiful yet functional pieces to be worn
time and time again.
